I am using dear old mIRC from about 15 years, and when i started with wonderful open-source world i enjoyed to continue to use mIRC through Wine libraries.
Of course i wanted to use it also under Mac OSx, but in a simple way, without using windows through Bootcamp or virtualize it with Parallels.
So i tried with Winebottler: it works using wine library and Xquartz (replacing old X11 ,that Apple has shipped with OS X since version 10.5.) – after installation of both you will have simply to click the executable file (in this case mirc.exe).
